When you're just starting out in business, you don't have to make expensive purchases just to get started. And, you certainly don't have to have every single thing setup perfectly in order to start making an income.

There are several things that you do need to have prepared however, that is a way to create an invoice for a customer; or at least a paid invoice showing they paid you for their purchase.

You'll also need a way to keep track of income and expenses for tax time. Tax time will arrive quicker than you think, so having a good habit of documenting your income and expense details will make tax time much easier for you.

Another good idea to be prepared for is a way to keep track of your customers because you're going to want to market to them again...or they may approach you about making another purchase.
